There are some very good people in POAD

I do not want to take away the hard work that has been done here

But that the new program has taken away our TEAM concept

I didn't see what you wrote RWKnotts, and I too am in it for the long haul. But, I loved the team concept that we had and regret its demise. Having said that I'm sure Joseph did everything he could to keep it going - it was his dream too. Sad

I have remained quiet (the silent majority) much of the time, letting our Leaders take us where they thought it was best for the team.

I am one of those 95% that cannot sponsor. It does not matter how many ads I place out there, no one pays attention. I know it must be me, as I know that I do not know how to advertise, but it is not because I do not try.

I have changed my ads almost weekly, have kept track of what should be working--none have--have copied other ads-up to a point-and still I have noone on my downline. The free matrix was like a godsent to me as I knew that as soon as we joined a matrix program, I had a chance, finally, to make a little money.

I was not asking for much. A couple of hundred dollars a month would have been satisfactory. Just enough to be able to buy my daughter her bike for her birthday, small things like that.

That was why POAD was like a lifeline to me. I bet that I am not the only one that felt that way. POAD was like a shinning light at the end of the tunnel.

Sure, I read the post that others have posted, about effort equals results, or that the money is there for anyone that works, but that is not always true. Some of us have tried, some of us do not have the touch.

POAD was for the little guy. We were all working together for the team. It was not one guy placing all of us on his shoulder, carrying us, it was the whole team, each carrying one little bit of the weight, for the benefit of the team.

Now, we are just one of the programs on the net. There is nothing different about us. "Get your three and they in turn have to get their three" bullcrap. Poaders now have to build their own "downline" as only
those who we individully sponsor are able to make us any money. Count 95% of us out, as 95% of us will not be able to sponsor anyone.

The product you say, is the best on the net? With the past POAD the product was the best. It gave us, the team, hope, it gave us a dream, it gave us a way to make some small changes in our lives.

I understand all the problems we have had, as I think most POADers have, as most stuck around, loyal to the team concept, and loyal to Joseph and our leaders.

There are legitimate matrix programs out there that we, as POADers can join as a team, to give us, as supposition labels us, the weak, lazy, and stupid members, a chance to change our lives.

The majority always stays quiet, and go on with their lives, while the few vocal ones have their say. And i am sure that it will remain that way, as most of us will just go away and disappear, some to join other programs, others to waylay the internet work philosophy.

This majority member has spoken. Attack!

I have to agree with Frank on this. The team work is what attracted me to POAD. I am not a great recuiter and this team was great. I understand that the matrix we were going to use was illegal and would have been shut down ad no one wanted that but what we got is just another do it your self program. I will be sticking with POAD in the hopes that a program will show up that we can all join as a team, but the team work aspect for now is gone in the exchange.

I wondered when I read Frank's post whether he has misunderstood the 'surf three sites' idea behind the traffic exchange. When three recruit three who each recruit three and so on - you have a matrix, which we don't now have. We only have our direct downline - those who we sponsor directly. The big benefit of the traffic exchange as it stands at the moment, is that we have a 'product/service' to offer. I always understood that was what was required to keep a matrix legal. After all, Melaleuca, Kleeneze etc. etc. all work that way. I tend to suspect the legality of the programmes where you only get paid for referring others. Often the product is there to pay lip service to the law.

I'm sad because I believe the 'team concept' we had was a major strength and I valued it immensely.

I can hear what your all saying, POAD does feel different now.

We were winding up for a home run. The POAD TE is not a home run.

But what we were attempting was not legal. We are not giving up. We are looking for something that will be legal and we can all make some money at.

Untill that time the POAD TE will help us stay together and grow the TEAM.

It wont cost you anything to surf and stay on the team and as you surf and keep trying for some recruits you will hone your advertising skills. Email me and tell me what you have been doing as advertising and i will help thebravegoat@yahoo.com .

The POAD TE is a very good TE and will help us all a great deal. Remember that the dream of our TEAM is still alive.

Thank you Brave for your post, and Frank, I really admire you for
speaking up.

I too had given up. I just cannot sponsor anyone. My Brother took me by the hand a couple of times and showed me what to do and I did well for that period of time. Then I tried it on my own and nothing happened, could not sponsor anyone.

I have realy enjoyed being a part of POAD, but until Brave's post, I thought that POAD had turned a corner, never to return again. I was ready to turn my computer off and just use it for my emails; the heck with
the work at home "bull". Embarassed

Joseph, I know that you are a busy man and trying very hard to make your TE work, but we do need you to tell us that the POAD team concept is not dead.

Tell us we are still growing our POAD team, using the TE to grow our team. Put something like that on our Website, letting all know that this is just the beginning of something new.

Give me that, and I will roll up my blouse sleeves, flex my muscles and the heck with the rejections of my ads. I will put them out there with full force, knowing that this is team concept project and that my efforts will help the team, not just me.

Well when I read this post I must admit that I was a little
depressed, however I already knew what you all thought
believe it or not.

To be honest, I cannot blame any of you.

However, I have to emphasize something here.

I have said in updates that it will always be about the team.

I have said that we are simply going to use this program to build the team.

Before, we were building in the free matrix the exact same way.

This way at least those that are recruiting have a chance to make something.

We will eventually find the right program to go into. It is just a matter
of time.

New programs come out everyday.

You will all vote on it.

Why on earth would we ever do anything to change this team?

This team is way to powerful.

To be honest, it is actually scary......

I remember talking to Michael Hawley on the phone when we began
recruiting for the traffic exchange matrix. I remember telling him
at that time that I would be happy if we had a team size of 2,000
by the time we launched.

What happened? We got 5,000 and we would have hit 6,000 if
we had not gotten the news from a lawyer.

That was in 5-6 weeks time.

What happened hurts, I know it does.

However a human can only take so many ups and downs. I know that.

We will loose members because of it.

But we have to move on.

I want to make some statements that some of you will not like. But they need to be said.

Anyone can recruit!

I know what each and everyone of you have done.

I posted exactly what I was doing to recruit myself.

My father has never recruited anyone in his life and recruited
10 people in the contest.

It is not hard to do.......However it does take dedication.
It means you have to have a plan and follow it each and every day.

I will be totally honest with all of you reading this like I always am
and say that I would be willing to bet that the winners in the contest we had were the hardest working people at that time.

Now before you get you blood pressure boiling, that does not mean
that you did not work hard also.

Some people have more tools available to them. This can make things
easier for recruiting.

Some people do not know what to do, but they want to be good team members.

Which brings me to exactly what we are doing now.

Let me throw a number at you.

Traffic swarm has over 300,000 members.

Could you imagine if they treated it as a team?

In other words, we know that is possible.

Who do we want on our team?

Workers

Where do you get workers?

Where they work.

So what we are doing is creating a place for workers to work.

Remember that we are doing something that goes against the norm here.

We want to surf less not more, and we wish that other traffic exchanges would do the same thing.

We have many things to be added as we go along. Many of which you can
make money at.

There will be products to help anyone.

We will create a plan for people to follow.

etc.

As we recruit, our team size will grow.

If we run across a good looking program for our team we will vote on it.

But right now we have to build. In order to build we have to have something that works. So when your surfing at our exchange remember
to answer questions honestly.

All you need to do is surf 3 sites per day and recruit. It is that simple.
If you do not know how then go to the chat room and ask the members
in there. Most of them finished high up in the contest, so they are the
perfect people to ask.

This all may seem like nothing to you right now, but those that listen
and start recruiting again can definately benefit better than in any
other program they may be in.

Eventually there will be so many products and reasons to upgrade to
pro that making money will be simple.

All you really need to do is recruit free people right now and let
the program do the rest.

Hopefully the pro part will be done this weekend and everyone
will have their new affiliate links to advertise with.

And I will be able to start sending out updates again.

Just remember that a traffic exchange is full of workers.

So why not build a team in a traffic exchange.

Surf your 3 sites and recruit so that you are getting leverage
on your recruits surfing.

Work smarter, not harder.

P.S.

Don't make your questions so hard for your sites. Usually people
will give those hard questions a bad rating and they will be so mad that
whatever you are offering they will not buy.

Okay folks, you have heard from the man.

The TE is just a way to build our team! Nothing has changed. The free matrix was a tool to build our team, now the TE is the TOOL to build our team.

WHEN we find a good program to enter as a team, the membership will vote on it and if approved by the membership, we will enter that program.
Hopefully via our ID#, same as before, so the sooner a members joins the
TE, the better his position in the new program.

Keep that on the back of your mind as you advertise our TE.

Go contact your downline in your TE and get them surfing. I know that many members are not surfing, because the general belief was that the POAD team concept was dead.

It is not dead. Just took another detour, and knowing POAD, we will get to our destination.

So surf!!! Let's build our team, and keep an eye out on a good, reliable, legal, must stress legal, program we can enter as a team. You and I know that we deserve it.

Hi team,

I want to share how I get recruits, even though I've never been able to recruit people for anything before. I have a POAD splash page and I surf the other traffic exchanges. I surf on average one hundred pages a day in each of six or seven different traffic exchanges.

I know this works because I have recruited over 50 people using only this strategy. Within a week or two of surfing, if I don't get results, I move on to a different traffic exchange. There are plenty of traffic exchanges and new ones starting all the time.You'll know when it works.

I honestly believe our team's message is why so many have joined. We have a great leader and support system, and if you read the POAD blog and forum you can get great ideas from other team members on how to recruit.

I hope this will help those who don't know how to start recruiting, Good Luck to you all.

I have been with POAD since the NPN days and the original concept of the team was based on the MATRIX, free or not. The matrix isn't illegal, it was the program that was in question. I stayed in POAD because I was building a nice downline between my personal recruiting and spillovers. Thats all gone now and I feel I have lost a lot. I feel we as a team have been abandoned, we never got to vote on giving up the matrix, it was just taken away for the TE.
I don't believe in being negative but in this case, I needed to air my feelings about the direction POAD has elected to go.

Well quietman there was many reasons for giving up the
free matrix if that is the matrix you were talking about.

The main one was people spamming downlines.

To this day many people are spamming me.

We all know to well the problems we had before with the
website being shut down etc because of spamming.

All it takes is a few idiots to ruin things for everyone.

I tried to warn everyone about spamming a couple times and it continued.
As the team grew bigger, it got worse and worse because of spillover.
This led people to believe that they could just build a list for some
other program they are in.

A few complaints here and there and the site gets shut down and
the domain name that I am paying for is blacklisted.

As you know I am a believer in contacting people you recruit.
But I do not believe in spamming people that you recruit for this
program. They did not sign up for other opportunuties.

That is why there was no vote, because there was nothing to vote on.

The answer whether to get rid of the free matrix was simple.

When we join something else later on, you may have access to your downline there.

I have never said a matrix was illegal.

I have only said that what it took to make a program legal was
something we could not achieve.

Believe me, I thought about opening our program anyway.

But the decision came down to this.

My neck was on the line.

If we was investigated, the program would be shut down and who knows
what would happen to me, but I was afraid that some members would
quit their jobs and then be left with nothing.

I know that may not sound like a big deal to some people but to me I have to be able to sleep at night.

Could you imagine someone that had been working at a job for
30 years and was doing so well here that he quit his job?

How would I feel if we were investigated and was shut down?

Now that person has nothing.

Believe it or not that was a possible senario with that program.

The structure of that program was well thought out and would have been a money maker. As a matter of fact, a year from now someone would
have joined and had an instant downline. The longer we built, the more
attractive it became to join. We had everything thought out. Instead of
a program hitting a bubble when it got so big and start losing members
we would have had the opposite effect.

Anyway, enough about that, it still makes me sick to think about it.

We are saving it in case laws ever change.

But thats one of the reasons the free matrix is gone is because of spamming. When domains get blacklisted welcome emails can't even
get thru to people.

I am saving the database for future reference in case we need it.

Well ok, I've stuck with you this long, I may as well see it through to the end. I guess I'm just a diehard POAD'r and have always believed in the Team concept.

Before I say what I want to say, let me preface it with this: I am a college student, now on summer break. I work a full time job, and a part time job, at night, in the summer. During school I work from 30 to 40 hours per week, and I carry a full load of classes.

So I am trying to type this in a hurry, as I need to go. Crying or Very sad

What I am trying to say is that my whole life has been structured. I am a structured mold. I have plans and I know where I am going and how to get there.

That is what attracted me to POAD. It had plans, it had a mission and a way to accomplish that mission.

Right now I feel as if there are no plans for POAD. Sure, we have the TE, but what are we doing with the TE? Is the TE an end or the beginning of something new.

I can interpret Joseph's posts one way, other can interpret it another way.

We need a mission statement. "We are here now, we need to get there next month, and this is how we are going to get there" sort of thing.

Are there any plans for POAD beyond the TE? If so, what are they?

Put it in writing.

We all know that all of us are money hungry, thus the reason we want to start a net business. POAD was the gateway, and we knew where we were heading. Where are we heading now?

Mission statement! Goals! This is what we want to accomplish, and this is our goal!

Give us something to work for as a team. Not individually. Joseph, you created a monster, a good monster, maybe I should say TEAM, and this team created the mindset that we were out to help each other. Now this mindset does not want to die.

But insinuations that we are still a team is not what we need.

What we need is something like this:

"Okay, you tough minded, one track people, as you know our free matrix did not work, for legal and other reasons, so we are going back to the blackboard and work something else out.

We will continue to use our TE to build our team, and as soon as a good, legal program sticks its head out of the myriad of programs that are out in the internet, we will investigate it, and then we will vote on it, and we will again attempt to make some money for the membership.

Our team concept has not gone away, in fact, our team concept is stronger than ever and blad, blab, blab."

That is what I need. A mission statement so we all know where we are going, and not have to guess.

Hope this makes sense.

Although hard work and methods play a part in recruiting, I feel that luck also plays a part. I was feeling quite lucky as my recruiting was going ok - I had 19 members to transfer to the TE. Do I feel any benefit? No. In spite of my contacting them to say it was up and running and how to log in, none of them are using it. I can't keep doing so or I will get banned for spamming them. Some were active and recruiting members themselves but no activity at the TE yet. Perhaps they are waiting until they can go pro. Will I bother with my $11 per month!!! I think not.

I stuck with POAD through its ups and downs for the team system. Now I am just waiting to see what is next.

If I am honest, I don't like the traffic exchange as I find it very frustrating finding the answers to the often ambiguous questions then finding that my site has received a bad rating.

If we are starting a new forum all the links for assisting team promotions will disappear. Feels like a total waste of a year of my life.

What happened about the programs we were going to join?This exchange was supposed to be a feeder to make entry cheaper. Why don't we join the My Traffic Empire in team order with a single payment of $20?

I hope I don't lose track of people when the forum moves.

I wondered about luck, or maybe that some TEs are just better than others. I have been in the habit of surfing daily for a long time now, despite having a lot of other stuff 'on my plate' at the moment.

However, I must say that I really do like our TE. It does make you look more carefully at the site. What else do people placing ads want? If they spend half their lives surfing through pages just so someone will look at their offering, then surely they must realise that what they are doing to others sites is being done to them. The logic of surfing the POAD way is irrefutable.

Hi Fellow Team Members,

I know that some of you folks have been here much longer than I have. I've only known Joseph and been part of this team for a little over a year now. I sat in the shadows and watched for a few months. I read the forum, listened to the older team members and saw something that I've never seen before. A group of people that have gathered together for the common good of everyone involved.

As the realization of what I was seeing sunk in, I knew I had to be a part of it. As I talked more with Joseph, we both realized that together we could help each other support this team. A couple of months ago, we met in person and spent a few days together.

What came from this meeting was simply awesome. We found that we could fill in the spaces that kept us each from fulfilling our full potential. We both also knew that the only way to true success, was to help as many people as possible to achieve their success.

Since then, we have spent countless hours on the phone, brainstorming and building on each others strengths. Each new obstacle that came up, brought with it new possibilities. We have also been listening to everyone who has posted their ideas in the forum. Some of these ideas have been woven into the future of the POAD Team.

Over the course of the next few months we will be putting many enhancements in place on the POAD Team site. Some of these will happen fairly quickly, and some will take a large amount of intense programming (and some big bucks) to bring to completion.

We can't tell you all of the details, because owners of various other programs are watching us and this forum very closely.

But, I can tell you this - What you see now is just the tip of the iceberg. The traffic exchange is only a staging area for what is to come. It's a place where you can bring people into the team. Those of you that use this time and this resource wisely will be the ones that will see the largest dividends.

Just to give you glimpse of what is happening, behind the scenes, let me tell you three things

1. Your site credits will become a very valuable commodity as we grow and implement these enhancements.
2. A Team building system that will grow multiple income streams AUTOMATICALLY will be put in place.
3. You will have multiple doorways which you can use to invite people onto the POAD Team, each with it's own unique appeal and value.

This is an exciting and emotional time here at POAD Team - You are part of the birth of a marketing revolution. It will be a bumpy ride. But, as all true trailblazers will tell you, that's what it takes to get to the new horizons. We will continue to listen to the team and evolve as needed to keep the POAD Team strong and moving in a forward motion.

One more thing in closing - You're part of something here that is so much bigger that any single one of us is separately, being a part of the POAD Team has always and will always have one main principal at its core. No Team Member Who Puts Forth An Effort Will Ever Be Alone Here.

Thank-you for that Tate, and thank-you to Joseph too for his comments earlier in the thread. A sense of disappointment is the natural reaction after recent events - we're all only human. What is important is the way that people react to disappointment in their lives. I know through my own life experience that what sometimes feels like a setback often makes room for a greater opportunity that otherwise would have been missed.

We've all got the same objectives, so my sugestion is, lets all keep working to get this show on the road - only bigger and better.

Hi everyone,

Whew! It's been quite a while since I put myself out of the limelight. Honestly, I got disappointed myself personally. That's a natural reaction of human beings as we are. But I just wanted to share something to you that keeps me going. It's "the power of positive thinking". Plus... a good judgement and building trust with the team.

I have read a lot of comments here and there and I have felt the same way as you do. But I just let my emotions flow and use my mind to jump to the right conclusion.

Truly, the team concept is still there! You will realize it when you investigate further and not pre-judge what you have seen at a first glance.

I firmly believe in this team and I salute all the leaders here especially Joseph and Tate. I will be here in the long haul and will stick with this team for the rest of my life.

So just stay... POSITIVE and don't let go of that DREAM.

Always remember: "Winners find solution in a problem, but losers find problem in a solution"
